Our recent post on ethical beauty brands got us thinking about the best products in the beauty industry at the moment, from eyeshadow to eye creams, we’ve rounded up the products that most definitely need to make an appearance on your dressing table. With such a large range of products available on the market, it’s a constant struggle to decipher which products actually work miracles and which just have really good marketing departments!

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Subculture palette | As every makeup fanatic will know, the arrival of this much-anticipated palette has sent many into a frenzy, following the obscene success of the previous Modern Renaissance palette. Comprised of 14 high pigmented shades which are far grungier, cooler and younger than the MR colours, this palette can provide a plethora of looks; from a sultry navy blend to an electric gold shimmer. Unfortunately, this sought after palette has already sold out, but is now a permanent part of the ever growing collection, so you will…eventually, be able to get your hands on this beautiful palette. Get yours from Cult Beauty.

Pat McGrath – Metalmorphosis 005 Kit | Pat McGrath has been called the most influential make-up artist in the world, creating looks for well over 50+ fashion shows per year and shooting for the most admirable fashion magazines across the world. Whilst Pat is, in fact, British, she now resides in New York, where her own makeup range ‘Pat McGrath Labs’ was launched. After much anticipation, it’s now  been launched in the UK, via Net-A-Porter and let us tell you this… you need all of her products, immediately! Each Metalmorphosis 005 kit comes with a pressed powder eyeshadow, a creamy eyeshadow, mixing liquid and a black eyeliner. When the eyeshadow is mixed with the liquid, they create a non-sticky melted metal look, something that is yet to be achieved by another brand. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed.

Herbivore Botanicals – Jasmine Green Tea Balancing Toner | Originally started in 2011, by a couple based in Seattle, this brand is not only aesthetically pleasing but is also created with natural ingredients; plant-based cold-pressed oils, GMO-free soy wax and recyclable/reusable packaging. Our current favourite product from this brand is their Jasmine Green Tea Balancing Toner; made with organic jasmine water, infused with oil, antioxidant green tea, blemish fighting white willow bark, aloe vera and witch hazel. The whole array of products from this brand are getting 5-star reviews, left, right and centre!

Spectrum brush ‘The Glam Clam’ collection | Spectrum provide colour and character to the normally mundane world of makeup brushes; with every lady pining after their beautifully coloured brushes. Not only do they look beautiful, but they are made using the highest quality synthetic hair, blending like a dream! Vegan registered and cruelty-free, they come in a beautiful faux leather clam shell clutch, containing 10 brushes. If colour isn’t your thing, they do perfectly crisp and white versions of all brushes included in this set.

These four products are practically every girl’s dream, why not buy the whole set for a truly beautiful birthday gift, or start treating yourself every few months with a shiny new choice from the above; you know you want to…
